GENERATIVE DESIGN TOPOLOGY OPTIMISATION (GTO)

What is Generative Design Topology Optimisation?

Generative Topology Optimization combines topology optimisation and simulation algorithms to automatically generate designs based on critical goals, materials, physics and manufacturing processes.

Perform the following actions:
  • Rapidly explore design solutions solving for critical goals, materials, physics and manufacturing constraints
  • Define multiple generative design studies to explore alternatives and compare the optimized results
  • Visualize real-time design generation when input geometry and defining criteria are modified
  • Interrogate and review integral analysis results to evaluate stresses and deformation
  • Output the results to perform further refinement and optimization in Creo

AR DESIGN SHARE

Publish Combined States

Combined states can be published with model for viewing in Augmented Reality (AR)
Support items:
  • Simplified Reps
  • Exploded Views
  • Sections
  • Appearances
  • Layers

When viewed in AR, users can switch between the different view states of the model

Combined states allow engineers to improve communication and understanding using different “views” to define and highlight details

Publish Option is also used when publishing to Vuforia View.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING EXTENSION

Improvements to Stochastic Lattices
  • In Creo 7.0, stochastic lattice algorithms will automatically identify and follow the hard edges of the part
  • Creo 6.0 required users to specify variable options to enable behaviour.

Improvements to Stochastic Lattice

  • Delaunay triangulation algorithm is introduced for stochastic lattices
  • The main uses for Stochastic lattices are medical implants, chemical processes, filtration, sound absorption, shock absorption

IMPROVEMENTS IN USABILITY

Creo 7.0 continues to improve the quality of your designs, making the process quicker and more efficient.

Updated dashboards and skin: Dashboards have been enhanced, they now group functions more clearly and include direct access to help information for the specific feature

Model Tree Improvements: The model tree is aligned closer to the graphics area. Non-activated components in the assembly have reduced visibility matching the graphics area. Any customisations that are made to the model tree are now automatically stored, in preparation for the next time you work with a model

Mini Toolbar: The in-feature mini toolbar allows users to execute feature options inside the graphics area without having to use the dashboard

Cable ties and Markers: There is now a more modernised and streamlined interface to allow you to add markers and cable ties

Model-based design continued expansion: A modernised notes interface allows for simpler and more intuitive placement of notes on your model. Notes now understand the geometry and annotations that they are associated with

Continued volume sweep: This enables you to generate the curve that the tool follows to drive the CNC machine

PRODUCT DESIGN IS CHANGING

The world is seeing major global shifts to what it means to productively design. As a result, it’s more important to reduce operational costs, maximise revenue growth, and increase efficiency in streamlined and effective ways.
